Enter your flight number in the checker at the top of this page. It reads the tail number assigned to your flight and tells you whether that aircraft has Starlink. You can also go by the flight number itself. United Express flights, numbered UA3000 and above, carry Starlink on about half their regional jets. Mainline flights between UA1 and UA2999 rarely have it so far.
United has not published a combined Starlink-equipped aircraft count. We have independently observed Starlink on 525 of United's 1,787 aircraft ourselves, about 29% of the fleet. The regional side is much further along, at about 51% equipped, against about 8% of the mainline fleet.
Rarely, for now. United flies its international routes with mainline widebodies, and only 8% of the mainline fleet has Starlink so far. Most installs have gone to regional jets on domestic routes. If you are booked on a long-haul international flight, the odds are low today, though United adds aircraft every month.
Most do not yet. United started its rollout with United Express regional jets and has equipped 8% of the mainline fleet, which includes the 787, 777, and 737. Some mainline aircraft now have it and the count grows monthly, but you should not count on a mainline jet having Starlink yet.
Mostly United Express regional jets, especially the Embraer E175. 51% of United's 659 regional aircraft now carry it. On the mainline side, installs have started but reach only 8% of the fleet.
Yes. United gives passengers free Starlink WiFi on every equipped aircraft. You sign in through the United app or the onboard portal once you are on board.
