Terminal D is the undisputed best terminal for lounges and dining — if you're in any other terminal and have time, take the Skylink (free, every 2 minutes) to Terminal D. Terminal E is frequently cited as the weakest for food; if departing from E, use the Skylink to Terminal D for a meal and return. The Club at DFW (Terminal D Mezzanine near Gate D27) remains the only Priority Pass lounge at DFW after the Plaza Premium Terminal D location left the programme on June 21, 2026 — the Terminal E Plaza Premium still accepts Priority Pass with a 2-hour cap. For parking, Remote North/South at $14/day is the best-value on-airport; always prebook on dfwairport.com to guarantee the rate and the space.
TSA PreCheck and CLEAR available at all five terminals. Terminal D international security can have very long standard queues during afternoon/evening peaks (2pm–8pm) — allow 45–60 minutes without expedited screening. Terminals A, B, and C are connected airside, so clear once and walk between them. Terminal E has NO airside walkway connection — must use Skylink (post-security) or Terminal Link shuttle (landside). Check real-time wait times at dfwairport.com/waittime or via the MyTSA app. Terminal C parking garage south section closed for construction — use the central or north sections.
All international arrivals are processed at US Customs and Border Protection in Terminal D. Global Entry kiosks at Terminal D reduce processing to minutes and are strongly recommended for frequent US visitors — enrol in advance at cbp.gov. CBP One (Mobile Passport Control) is also accepted. If arriving internationally and connecting to a domestic flight in Terminal E, allow at least 90 minutes minimum — the process requires clearing customs, rechecking bags, clearing domestic security, and taking the Skylink. Some Canadian routes offer pre-clearance before departure.
