Transport options to and from Las Vegas
Bus
Journey time: CX to mid-Strip (Flamingo/Las Vegas Blvd): 20–30 minutes. Route 108 to Downtown Fremont Street: 40–60 minutes.
Fare: Residential single ride (CX): $2.00. 24-hour pass: $5.00. Deuce on the Strip 2-hour pass: $6.00; 24-hour pass: $8.00. Day pass for CX + Deuce transfer: $8.00 (24-hour All Access pass).
RTC (Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada) operates two routes serving LAS. Centennial Express (CX): Residential-rate route, fastest and cheapest way from LAS to the Strip. Bus stop at Terminal 1, Level 0 (baggage claim level); and Terminal 3, Level 0. CX runs 05:25–23:55 daily, every 15–20 minutes. Stops at the Strip at Flamingo Avenue and Las Vegas Blvd (mid-Strip). Route 108 (Paradise Rd): connects LAS to Downtown (Fremont Street) via Paradise Road, slower and more local. Deuce on the Strip (tourist route, $6/2-hr pass): accessible by transferring to the Deuce at Flamingo/Las Vegas Blvd after taking the CX bus — all-day Strip access. Residential routes require exact change; drivers do not provide change. RTC app (rideRTC) accepts contactless/app payment.
taxi_rideshare
Journey time: 10–20 minutes to the Strip; 20–30 minutes to Downtown (Fremont Street)
Fare: Taxi flat-rate zones (revised January 12, 2026): South Strip area (Mandalay Bay, Luxor, MGM): ~$19. Mid-Strip (Bellagio, Caesars, Paris, Bally's): ~$23. North Strip/Stratosphere: ~$27. Downtown/Fremont Street: ~$35. Uber/Lyft: $15–$30 to the Strip (standard); surge can reach 3–6× during major events (CES, NFL, F1, New Year's Eve, Super Bowl).
Las Vegas taxis operate on a regulated flat-rate zone system from LAS, confirmed by the Nevada Taxi Cab Authority (rates revised January 12, 2026). Taxi pick-up at the Taxi Transportation Center at Level 0 of both terminals — always go through the official dispatcher (do not take unofficial 'pirate' taxis at curbside). Uber and Lyft operate from a dedicated rideshare pick-up zone at Level 0 of Terminal 1 (between Doors 21-23) and Level 0 of Terminal 3.

The Concourse D satellite (home to the Centurion Lounge, Capital One Lounge, Sidecar by Centurion, and Club LAS Concourse D) is the lounge hub of LAS — but it requires a tram ride from both terminals. If you are flying Southwest from Terminal 1 Concourse C and have Chase Sapphire Reserve, the Chase Sapphire Lounge is just steps from the C gates and by far the most convenient option without needing to take the tram. Priority Pass holders should go to the Club LAS in Terminal 3 Concourse E (near Gate E2) if departing from Terminal 3 — it is a better lounge than the Concourse D Club LAS location and saves the tram journey. For taxis, always use the official dispatcher at Level 0; soliciting a taxi from curbside (common at major hotels) is not permitted at LAS, and 'pirate cabs' are a known scam.
LAS has 5 separate security checkpoint entrances (A/B, C, D, E, and shared tram-accessed D Satellite). Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 have separate TSA checkpoints — choose the one for your departure terminal. For flights from Concourse C (Chase Sapphire Lounge) or Concourses A/B, use the Terminal 1 main checkpoint. TSA PreCheck lanes are available at all main checkpoints. CLEAR biometric is available. Note: the D Gates satellite concourse is only accessible after clearing security and taking a tram — it cannot be accessed directly from the check-in level. Peak security times at LAS are 07:00–09:30 (morning departure bank) and 16:00–19:00. The airport handles heavy leisure traffic, so allow 30–45 minutes for security on weekends and holidays. Note: all LAS terminals have slot machines from baggage claim to gate areas.
All international arrivals clear US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Terminal 3, Level 0 (Baggage Claim/Customs level). Global Entry kiosks available at Terminal 3. Mobile Passport Control app accepted for eligible US citizens and permanent residents. Las Vegas receives large volumes of international leisure travelers, particularly from Canada, UK, and Mexico — international CBP queues can be 45–90 minutes without Global Entry during peak summer and holiday periods. Passengers arriving from Canada on Air Canada or WestJet may be pre-cleared (US customs cleared before departure from selected Canadian airports); check with your airline at time of booking.
