Alaska Airlines has 145 Starlink-equipped aircraft as of May 2026, drawn from two sources: approximately 100 mainline Alaska 737 MAX aircraft and 45 former Hawaiian Airlines A321neos that joined the fleet when Hawaiian Airlines merged into Alaska on April 22, 2026. The Hawaiian Airlines brand and HA/HAL codes are retired — all former Hawaiian routes and aircraft now operate under Alaska (AS) branding. This makes the 145-aircraft Starlink count a combined total across what was effectively two carriers. Alaska's Starlink network covers a mix of West Coast domestic routes (Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles to key hubs), inter-island Hawaiian routes (formerly operated by Hawaiian Airlines), and mainland-to-Hawaii routes. The 737 MAX fleet covers most of Alaska's domestic mainland network, while the A321neos focus on Hawaii routes. With 36% of the combined fleet equipped, Starlink is available on a significant and growing portion of Alaska's routes — particularly those served by newer 737 MAX variants and the A321neo fleet. Alaska is one of a small number of US carriers that offers WiFi free on its flights, and Starlink connectivity is included in this policy. As a Oneworld alliance member, Alaska serves passengers who may also connect with Qatar Airways, British Airways, or American Airlines — all of which have Starlink programmes at various stages. Alaska's free Starlink offering positions it well in the US domestic market where most competitors charge for connectivity.
