SFO's circular post-security layout connects all terminals without re-clearing security, so Priority Pass holders can walk from Terminal 1 to the International Terminal A lounges in about 5 minutes — useful if The Club SFO has a waitlist. The Club SFO (Terminal 1, Gate B4) is widely considered the best Priority Pass lounge in the US, but expect potential 30-minute waitlists on busy evenings — join the text waitlist and explore nearby shops rather than queuing at the door. Priority Pass access at both the Golden Gate Lounge and China Airlines Lounge cuts off at 18:00 daily, and the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse only admits PP members in two narrow windows (09:00-13:30 and 17:30-19:15), so plan your lounge visit around these restrictions if catching an evening international flight.
TSA PreCheck is available at all SFO checkpoints and strongly recommended — standard TSA queues average 20+ minutes and can hit 45 minutes during peak periods. CLEAR biometric lanes are also active in all terminals and can be combined with PreCheck for the fastest experience. SFO has a TSA PreCheck enrollment center in the International Terminal (pre-security, G-side, near the BART station) — walk-ins accepted but scheduled appointments have priority.
