Vueling Starlink WiFi — Coming 2026

Vueling is a Spanish low-cost carrier based at Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) and a wholly owned subsidiary of the International Airlines Group (IAG). Founded in 2004 and acquired by IAG in 2013, Vueling operates one of the largest fleets in Spain with approximately 95 aircraft — predominantly Airbus A320-family jets — serving a dense network of Spanish domestic routes, intra-European services, and medium-haul routes to North Africa and the Middle East. The airline is the dominant carrier at Barcelona and operates significantly at Madrid, Rome Fiumicino, and other Mediterranean hubs. Vueling is part of IAG's November 2025 Starlink announcement, covering the group alongside British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, and LEVEL. No Vueling aircraft installation schedule has been published, and zero aircraft are currently confirmed as Starlink-equipped. The airline-level status remains announced, with rollout expected to follow the IAG group timeline beginning in 2026. The Vueling fleet is almost entirely A320-family: 93 A320ceo aircraft, 18 A321ceo, 7 A320neo, 6 A319, and 3 A321neo — a total of 127 aircraft tracked in the StarlinkFlights database. As a low-cost carrier operating primarily European and Mediterranean routes, Vueling's typical flight sector is 90–150 minutes, which historically made in-flight WiFi a harder commercial proposition. However, Vueling also operates longer sectors to the Canary Islands, Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco — 3–4 hour flights where WiFi demand is meaningfully higher — and its position as Barcelona's dominant carrier means it serves a large corporate and tourist travel market with connectivity expectations. The A320neo and A321neo aircraft (10 combined) represent the most modern part of the fleet and the natural starting point for Starlink retrofits. Older A320ceo aircraft (93) will take longer to process through any installation programme given the fleet volume.
