Singapore Airlines announced Starlink on May 4, 2026, but no aircraft are equipped yet. Installations begin Q1 2027 on A350-900 and A380 types. Until then, SQ operates conventional satellite WiFi across its widebody fleet.
The three types confirmed for Starlink are the A350-900 Long Haul, A350-900 Ultra Long Range (ULR), and A380 — approximately 53 aircraft in total. The Boeing 777-300ER and 787-10 Dreamliner are not included in the current Starlink agreement.
Singapore Airlines Starlink installations are scheduled to begin Q1 2027, with the full A350 and A380 fleet expected to be equipped by end of 2029. The programme was announced May 4, 2026.
Yes — Starlink will be free for KrisFlyer members. KrisFlyer is Singapore Airlines' loyalty programme and is free to join at singaporeair.com. Pricing for non-members has not been confirmed.
Starlink will be available on routes operated by the A350-900 and A380, including SIN–LHR, SIN–LAX, SIN–JFK (non-stop), SIN–SYD, SIN–FRA, and SIN–NRT. Routes on the 777-300ER or 787-10 Dreamliner are not covered under the current deal.
No — no SQ aircraft will carry Starlink in 2026. Installations begin Q1 2027. Check which aircraft type operates your specific route; if it's an A350-900 or A380, you may have Starlink connectivity from 2027 onwards.
Qatar Airways currently has Starlink operational on approximately 313 of 340 aircraft — 92% of its fleet — available today. Singapore Airlines Starlink doesn't launch until Q1 2027. For Starlink WiFi on a long-haul booking today, Qatar Airways is the stronger option.
Singapore Airlines currently offers Panasonic Avionics satellite WiFi across its widebody fleet. This service is available but significantly slower than Starlink. Starlink replaces this on A350-900 and A380 aircraft starting Q1 2027.
The May 4, 2026 announcement covers Airbus A350-900 and A380 types only. Singapore Airlines has not announced plans to install Starlink on its Boeing 777-300ER or 787-10 Dreamliner fleet under the current agreement.
No SQ flights carry Starlink yet. Once installations begin Q1 2027, StarlinkFlights will track which SQ tail numbers are equipped and display route-level probability scores automatically. Check back from early 2027 for live coverage data on your specific route.
