Singapore Airlines Starlink WiFi — Officially Announced

On May 4, 2026, Singapore Airlines confirmed a Starlink agreement covering approximately 53 of its widebody aircraft. The types in scope are the A350-900 Long Haul, A350-900 Ultra Long Range (ULR), and A380 — SQ's three premium long-haul widebodies. Installation work begins Q1 2027, with completion of the full A350 and A380 fleet targeted by end of 2029. As of today, zero SQ aircraft carry Starlink; the announcement marks the commitment, not the rollout. Because Starlink is limited to the A350 and A380 types, passengers on Singapore Airlines' longest and most premium routes stand to benefit first. The A350-900 LH and ULR operate SQ's flagship non-stop routes including SIN–LHR, SIN–LAX, SIN–JFK, and SIN–SYD. The A380 covers high-capacity routes such as SIN–LHR, SIN–SYD, SIN–FRA, and SIN–NRT. Passengers on Boeing 777-300ER or 787-10 Dreamliner services — covering medium-haul and many intra-Asia routes — are not included under the current Starlink agreement. Once live, Starlink will be free for KrisFlyer members — Singapore Airlines' loyalty programme, which is free to join at singaporeair.com. This positions SQ alongside Qatar Airways in treating Starlink as a loyalty benefit rather than a paid add-on. For passengers booking SQ's premium long-haul cabins on the A350 and A380, Starlink will deliver reliable, high-throughput connectivity on routes where working or streaming across oceans matters most. Meaningful in-service coverage is expected to build from late 2027 as more A350 and A380 frames complete installation.
