Allegiant Air Starlink WiFi

Allegiant Air has built its business around a distinctive model in American aviation, connecting smaller cities to leisure destinations with point-to-point flights and an unbundled approach to pricing. The carrier has traditionally kept onboard amenities minimal, allowing passengers to choose only what they value. This philosophy extends to connectivity: Allegiant Air does not currently offer inflight WiFi on any of its aircraft, reflecting a strategy focused on short-haul leisure routes where passengers often prioritise low fares over connected entertainment. Starlink has not been announced as part of Allegiant Air's roadmap, and the airline has not indicated plans to add satellite-based internet or any other form of connectivity in the near term. While competitors and legacy carriers have embraced inflight WiFi as a standard feature, Allegiant's model targets a different segment of the market—travellers who are willing to forgo certain frills in exchange for direct service and competitive pricing. The absence of WiFi aligns with the carrier's broader approach of offering a no-frills baseline product. As Starlink gains momentum across the aviation industry, the business case for inflight connectivity continues to evolve. Major airlines have adopted the technology to meet passenger expectations for seamless internet access, particularly on longer flights. Whether Allegiant will eventually pursue Starlink or another connectivity solution remains to be seen, but any decision would likely weigh the cost of installation and service against the preferences of its leisure-focused customer base. For now, passengers flying Allegiant Air should plan to travel without onboard internet access.
