MCO has three Priority Pass lounges, but which one you can use depends on your gate number not your check-in terminal — Gates 1-29 use The Club MCO in Airside 1 (West side), Gates 70-99 use The Club MCO in Airside 4 (East side), and Terminal C uses the Plaza Premium Lounge. Both Club MCO locations frequently hit capacity during peak hours (especially Airside 1), so try to arrive at least 90 minutes before departure. If you are flying Southwest, note that their check-in is on the east side of the North Terminal (Terminal A, Gates 100-129) — don't queue at the west check-in by mistake, as signage can be confusing with both sides sharing the same building.
MCO's unique layout requires an APM train ride after clearing security to reach your gate — build in an extra 10-15 minutes compared to a standard terminal layout. Terminal C is a fully separate facility from the North Terminal (Terminals A/B) with its own security checkpoint; there is no airside connection between Terminal C and the North Terminal Complex. Moving between the West airsides (Gates 1–59) and East airsides (Gates 70–129) also requires exiting security and re-clearing — critical to know for connections or lounge access across sides. Terminal C features 100% automated screening lanes (no manual lanes). TSA PreCheck is available at all MCO checkpoints. Peak security wait times at MCO are typically 07:00–09:30 and 14:00–17:00. The TSA PreCheck enrollment center is located near Terminal B baggage claim carousel 23 (Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:30).
International arrivals in the North Terminal Complex clear CBP at Airside 4 (Gates 70–99). International arrivals into Terminal C clear CBP on Level 6 of Terminal C (FIS facility). MCO was the first US airport to use 100% automated biometric exit screening for departing international passengers (2018). Global Entry enrollment center is available at Terminal C Level 1 (check flymco.com for appointment availability). In 2025 MCO implemented Enhanced Passenger Processing, reducing US citizen customs processing time by 65% — the technology uses facial recognition at all lanes. Mobile Passport Control app accepted for eligible US citizens and LPRs. International passengers connecting from Terminal C to North Terminal for a domestic connection must retrieve baggage, re-check, and take the landside Terminal Link train to the North Terminal.
