Always Verify Your Terminal in 2026
2026 is the single most disruptive year of JFK's $19B renovation. Airlines moving terminals include Air France, KLM, Korean Air, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, Aer Lingus, Cathay Pacific, TAP and others. Your booking confirmation terminal may be wrong. Always check your airline app or website within 24 hours of departure and look at your boarding pass when it issues.
JFK Has No Airside Terminal Connections — Plan Your Lounge
Unlike Heathrow or Frankfurt, JFK terminals are entirely isolated airside. Going from the Centurion Lounge (T4) to an AA gate (T8) means exiting security, free AirTrain, and re-clearing TSA — allow 45 to 60 minutes minimum. Choose your lounge based on your departure terminal, not prestige.
Use LIRR from Jamaica for the Fastest and Cheapest City Connection

Since September 2025, Uber and Lyft pickups at Terminals 4, 5, and 7 require taking a shuttle to an off-site FHV lot (12pm to 2am). This adds 10 to 20 confusing minutes during construction.
