MARTA Route 191 serves the International Terminal, connecting to Lakewood/Fort McPherson MARTA rail station. Shuttle bus services from the Ground Transportation Center (west end of Domestic Terminal) offer door-to-door and on-demand service to metro Atlanta hotels and areas, departing every 15 min within metro area and every 30 min for outer areas.

MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) Red and Gold lines serve ATL directly. The Airport Station is located on the west end of the Domestic Terminal between Terminal North and Terminal South baggage claim areas. No connection to International Terminal by rail — international arrivals must take the free International Shuttle Connector (15 min) to reach the Domestic Terminal/MARTA station.

The Club ATL in Concourse F is the only Priority Pass lounge at ATL, so if you're departing domestically from Concourses A–E, you'll need to ride The Plane Train to reach it — factor in 10–15 minutes each way. If you have access to the Amex Centurion Lounge (Concourse E), it's the largest in the Amex network and far superior to most US airport lounges; arrive early as it fills quickly. Delta Sky Club Concourse B (Gate B18) is the largest and best-stocked Sky Club on property, but the brand-new Concourse D club (Gate D18, opened April 2025) is worth seeking out if your gate is in that area.
ATL is the world's busiest airport and TSA queues in both terminals can be substantial during peak hours — arrive 2+ hours early for domestic flights and 3+ hours for international. CLEAR biometric lanes are available at Domestic Terminal North and South checkpoints and opened 30 minutes earlier (from 04:00) as of early 2025. TSA PreCheck lanes are available at all checkpoints. Note that the International Terminal has its own separate TSA security screening — international departures must clear security in the International Terminal even if connecting from a domestic flight (use The Plane Train to reach Concourse F, then re-clear security). Global Entry kiosks are located in the International Terminal arrivals hall for expedited CBP processing.
ATL is a major US CBP port-of-entry. Global Entry (Mobile Passport Control also accepted) significantly speeds up arrivals — kiosks are located in the Concourse F arrivals area. Passengers arriving internationally in Concourse E (Delta international) walk via a dedicated underground passage to the CBP checkpoint in Concourse F; those connecting to domestic flights clear a separate dedicated TSA checkpoint on Concourse E and re-enter the secure airside without leaving. International passengers who need to reach MARTA or ground transportation must take the free International Shuttle Connector (runs 24/7, departs from International Terminal arrivals curb) to the Domestic Terminal — allow 20 extra minutes.
