SATA Internacional, operating under the Azores Airlines brand, has not announced plans to equip its aircraft with Starlink satellite internet. The carrier currently does not offer inflight WiFi on its transatlantic services, meaning passengers travelling between the Azores, mainland Portugal, North America, and other destinations remain without onboard connectivity. As a regional carrier focused on connecting island communities with international destinations, SATA Internacional has yet to publicly signal interest in adopting Starlink or any alternative connectivity solution. The absence of inflight WiFi places SATA Internacional alongside a number of smaller carriers that have prioritised other operational investments over passenger connectivity. While major transatlantic operators have increasingly embraced satellite-based internet to meet passenger expectations for seamless communication, regional and charter-focused airlines often face different economic calculus when evaluating connectivity programmes. Starlink's lower installation costs and competitive service terms have attracted numerous carriers seeking to close the connectivity gap, yet SATA Internacional has not joined this wave of early adopters. For passengers accustomed to staying connected during flight, the lack of WiFi on SATA Internacional services represents a return to traditional offline travel.
