Qatar Airways uses Starlink satellite WiFi on equipped aircraft. Flight QR8420 operates MCT to HKG. Our Starlink probability score for this flight is 100%, based on Qatar Airways' fleet rollout data and confirmed tail numbers.
The most reliable method is to check your specific tail number after check-in — your boarding pass or the Qatar Airways app may show the aircraft registration. You can then search that tail number on StarlinkFlights.com. Alternatively, our probability score for flight QR8420 is 100% based on current fleet data.
The prediction for QR8420 is based on the aircraft actually observed or claimed to operate this route, not a generic fleet-wide guess. No route-specific aircraft evidence needed: B77L is an operator-wide claim covering every B77L aircraft in the fleet (100.0%). A confirmed, dated passenger sighting for this specific flight can override this when one exists.
No prediction can guarantee a specific aircraft. Airlines perform last-minute equipment swaps for maintenance, operational needs, or schedule changes — meaning a Starlink-equipped tail can be replaced by a non-equipped one on the day. A score of 80% or above means historical data strongly favours Starlink on this flight, but it is not a guarantee. For the most reliable information, check the airline's gate display or app on the day of departure.
