Air Busan Starlink WiFi — Announced 2025

Air Busan is a South Korean low-cost carrier headquartered in Busan, South Korea, and based at Gimhae International Airport (PUS). Founded in 2007 as a regional subsidiary of Asiana Airlines, Air Busan operates a 25-aircraft fleet of Airbus A320-family jets connecting Busan and Seoul Incheon with destinations across Japan, China, and Southeast Asia. Its network is compact by design — short- to medium-haul regional flying where WiFi has historically been seen as less critical than on long-haul routes. The airline's Starlink story is tied to the broader consolidation of the Korean aviation market. Korean Air completed its acquisition of Asiana Airlines in late 2024, bringing Air Busan — as an Asiana subsidiary — into the expanded Korean Air group. In December 2025, the group announced a Starlink partnership covering its member carriers, including Air Busan alongside Korean Air, Jin Air, and Asiana. No individual aircraft installation schedule has been released for Air Busan, and zero aircraft in the fleet are currently confirmed as Starlink-equipped. Air Busan's fleet consists of A320ceo, A321ceo, and A321neo aircraft, all narrowbody jets suited to the regional routes the airline operates. The A321neo jets represent the most modern part of the fleet and are the most likely candidates for early Starlink installation, given that retrofit programmes typically prioritise newer airframes. With a fleet of just 25 aircraft, Air Busan's rollout could be completed relatively quickly once the Korean Air group begins work in earnest.
